St. John is the third largest of the four major US Virgin Islands ("USVI"). The USVI is a territory of the United States and, as such, its residents are US citizens, US laws apply to it, and it enjoys all federal benefits. To get to St. John, numerous air carriers run daily flights to nearby St. Thomas  from New York, Boston,  Philadelphia, Atlanta, Charlotte and Miami.  Once in St. Thomas, visitors take a shuttle to the Red Hook Ferry Dock and then take a ferry for the 17-minute ride to St. John. Upon arriving in St. John, Spyglass Restaurant is a 100 yard walk down the beach.
